Graduation Ceremony Schedule

Ceremonies are open to all Purdue Global and Purdue Global Law School graduates. Students may attend any ceremony that takes place after their final term ends. Below are the upcoming Purdue Global graduation ceremony dates.

Steps to Attend Commencement

  • Step 1: Eligibility

    Determine Eligibility

    • Review remaining credits and expected graduation date.
    • Attend any ceremony that is held after your final term ends.
    • Diplomas are not given at the ceremony, and it is not necessary to attend or fill out any forms to receive your diploma. See the diploma section below for details.
    • Participation in a ceremony does not ensure graduation or the award of honors.
  • Step 2: Register

    Register for Your Ceremony

    • To participate virtually or in person, register by the deadline for your chosen ceremony.
    • Upload your headshot during registration.
    • Receive and review your registration confirmation email.
    • Watch your email inbox for ceremony details after registration ends.
  • Step 3: Regalia

    Travel information for each in-person commencement is available on the ceremony pages after registration opens.

Registration

Guests at Graduation

  • Guest limit: This varies by ceremony and is determined by the venue size and number of expected graduates.
  • Online broadcast: Ceremonies are broadcast live on Purdue Global's YouTube page.

Academic Honors

Academic Honors Eligibility

  • Honors are based on cumulative grade point average.
  • Eligible degrees include associate's, bachelor's, juris doctor, and executive juris doctor.

Academic Honors Statuses

Academic honors statuses will be noted on diplomas and transcripts.

  • Cumulative GPA of 3.70–3.79: Cum Laude
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.80–3.99: Magna Cum Laude
  • Cumulative GPA of 4.0: Summa Cum Laude
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.00–3.29: With Honors (Purdue Global Law School)
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.30–4.00: With Highest Honors (Purdue Global Law School)

Ceremony Participants: Academic honors recognized at the ceremony are based on the candidate’s cumulative GPA as of the ceremony registration deadline date, and therefore may not be final.

Purdue Global Diplomas

  • Diplomas are mailed to the address on file 8 weeks after completion of your final class and once all program and financial requirements have been confirmed by University officials.
  • E-diplomas are distributed approximately 4 weeks after term end.
  • Diplomas are not distributed at the graduation ceremonies.
  • Diploma size is 11.0" x 8.5" (landscape). Frames are available for purchase through Herff Jones.

Graduation Contact Information

NOTES AND CONDITIONS

Commencement: Commencement times will be determined after the participation deadline. Participants and attendees assume all financial and health risks associated with attending commencement and must abide by all guidelines as required by the University, venue, and government. Commencement may be canceled or changed to a virtual experience due to government mandates or advisories regarding public health or safety, and the University will not be responsible for any incurred costs or expenses as a result.

Commencement Participation: Participation in commencement is not a verification of graduation. Candidates receive their diploma approximately 8 weeks after completion of their final class and once all program and financial requirements have been confirmed by University officials.

The Purdue Global Commencement and related events could be broadcast live online and all attendees' student directory information, military branch (if applicable), videos, and photos shown during the ceremony could be photographed, videotaped, or filmed by authorized parties. The registration of all participants, submission of photos/videos, and attendance at or participation in the graduation-related events serve as permission for use of these names, images, and posts by Purdue Global. Commercial photography or filming is prohibited without permission of Purdue Global.
