Purdue Athletics
The Purdue Boilermakers have a long history of athletic achievement and are another proud part of the University’s tradition. Today, Purdue competes in the Big Ten Conference—the preeminent collection of institutions in the nation—and fields 18 intercollegiate athletics teams, including football, basketball, volleyball, baseball, softball, soccer, wrestling, swimming and diving, track and field, golf, and tennis. Purdue Fort Wayne competes in Division I athletics as the Mastodons and Purdue Northwest competes in Division II as the Pride.
