Welcome to the Office of Organizational Culture and Inclusive Excellence

The Office of Organizational Culture and Inclusive Excellence (OCIE) is a dynamic and inclusive hub committed to creating a people-centric culture at Purdue Global that supports all aspects of faculty, staff and student development.

At OCIE, we use a holistic approach that integrates concepts of wellness and psychological safety with foundational principles of diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging (DEIB) to create a sense of belonging, and to ensure equitable opportunities are available to everyone in the university community.

Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging Partners

OCIE serves as the central coordinating body responsible for strategizing, implementing, and evaluating initiatives that foster an inclusive campus culture. To align and amplify our collective efforts, we work collaboratively with Purdue Global’s Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging Committee (DEIBC), the University’s school and college DEI committees, and student organizations, clubs, and affinity groups.

Our ultimate goal is to create an educational environment that celebrates diversity, dismantles barriers to success, and empowers individuals from all backgrounds to thrive.

Employee Resource Groups

University Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) serve as vital pillars of our commitment to diversity, inclusion, and belonging. Our ERGs are passionate communities that bring together employees from diverse backgrounds, experiences, and identities. Here, we celebrate uniqueness and empower our members both personally and professionally.

Global Indigenous Community@Purdue Global

The Global Indigenous Community@Purdue Global ERG is a space where Indigenous employees are welcomed, supported, and celebrated. The community is a place where professional growth is nurtured and encouraged.

Additionally, the group raises awareness of Indigenous history, culture, and unique traditions, as well as the issues and policies currently affecting the population, with the aim of guiding Purdue Global to fully include, understand, and celebrate its Indigenous community.

Pride@Purdue Global

The Pride@Purdue Global ERG is a space where LGBTQIA2+ employees are not only safe and supported but also celebrated and nurtured in our professional growth.

In addition, it provides a forum for LGBTQIA2+ staff to raise awareness of issues and policies that affect us and to guide Purdue Global in fully including and celebrating its LGBTQIA2+ community.
