Honor Societies

Student Life sponsors three types of honor societies: general achievement societies, affinity- and identity-related societies, and program-related honor societies.

Students are not free to join any honor society but rather must be invited to join based upon these eligibility factors. Eligibility is based on criteria that may include academic achievement, program enrollment, or other factors. Invitations are issued biannually to eligible students via email. Eligibility factors for each honor society are listed below, along with links to the affiliated national organizations for each society.

A Word About Honor Societies

At Purdue Global, we strive to partner only with reputable groups that offer programming, scholarships, networks, or other benefits that we believe are of value to our students. Only the honor societies listed below have an official relationship with Purdue Global and were vetted for legitimacy and merit.

It is incumbent upon you, the student, to evaluate any honor society invitation for its value to your education and your career, and to balance that value with any financial investment. Virtually all honor societies require an initiation fee to become a member, but each society provides different levels of service and recognition for that fee. If you have any questions about an honor society invitation, please contact Student Life for more information.
