Purdue Global’s business programs were originally accredited 10 years ago. Each accredited institution is reaffirmed every 10 years through a rigorous, documented evaluation verified on-site.
Pam DeLotell, associate dean of the School of Business and Information Technology, oversaw the reaffirmation process. ACBSP ensures business programs offer a rigorous educational experience and a commitment to continuous quality improvement by evaluating a university’s leadership, strategic planning, relationships with stakeholders, quality of academic programs, faculty credentials and educational support.
“Business school accreditation is important because separate school accreditations like ACBSP ensure that student learning achievement is at the forefront of what we do,” DeLotell said. “ACBSP, and other similar business school accreditors, assess comprehensive standards such as leadership, planning, assurance of learning, effective teaching, curriculum and business-unit performance to ensure that our processes and outcomes meet the rigorous standards that set apart those business schools with separate accreditation. We are proud to have again achieved this marker of quality.”
“ACBSP’s reaffirmation highlights our business program’s emphasis on student success and innovation, helping working adults advance in their careers,” said Jeffrey Buck, dean and vice president of the School of Business and Information Technology. “Our faculty members engage with business leaders and organizations to enhance student success and opportunities inside and outside the classroom.”
