Scholarships for Nursing Students
1. The American Association for Men in Nursing
The American Association for Men in Nursing (AAMN™) sponsors student scholarships for men in undergraduate nursing programs. The number of scholarships, their value, and their eligibility requirements vary based on funding.
2. The NurseThink® – AACN Scholarship
The NurseThink® – AACN Scholarship supports students who desire to become future nurse faculty. The scholarship is open to all students who are members of the Graduate Nursing Student Academy (GNSA) and enrolled in master's and doctoral nursing programs at AACN member institutions. The scholarship provides a $5,000 award to students twice a year through 2026. Deadlines are January 31 and July 15.
3. Baby360 Nursing Scholarship
Baby360 awards two $2,500 scholarships each year to full‑time U.S. nursing students (undergraduate or graduate) who have a minimum GPA of 3.0. Selection is based on academic performance, leadership, financial need, career goals, and recommendations.
4. A Nurse I Am Scholarship by Cherokee Uniforms
Cherokee Uniforms, a Careismatic brand, awards a $3,000 nursing scholarship to 10 students every year. In addition, winners receive medical apparel and products from Careismatic brands as well as membership in the Careismatic Brands Student Nurse Advisory Council until graduation.
5. Association of Rehabilitation Nurses Scholarship
The Association of Rehabilitation Nurses (ARN) offers a $1,500 award to provide financial assistance to rehabilitation nurses working toward a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. The recipient must be an active member of the ARN.
6. Thomara Latimer Cancer Foundation Scholarship
This scholarship is open to African American students ages 17–30 who live in Michigan. It is designed to help students attend medically related professional programs. Award amounts vary, and students must maintain a 3.0 GPA.
7. Brave of Heart Nursing Scholarship
The Brave of Heart Nursing Scholarship awards up to $10,000 to undergraduate nursing students with financial need who demonstrate leadership and a commitment to improving community health outcomes. Minimum GPA of 2.0 required.
8. Daughters of the American Revolution Scholarships
Two of the nursing scholarships offered by the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) include the Caroline E. Holt Nursing Scholarship, which awards $2,500 to three students, and the Madeline Pickett (Halbert) Cogswell Nursing Scholarship, which awards $2,500 to two students.
9. Emergency Nurses Association Scholarship
The Emergency Nurses Association (ENA®) offers educational scholarships for nursing each year, including academic scholarships available to both members and non-members seeking education up to doctoral degrees.
10. The Foundation of the National Student Nurses’ Association, Inc. Scholarship Program
The Foundation of the National Student Nurses’ Association, Inc. (FNSNA) provides more than $500,000 in scholarships each year, with individual awards of up to $10,000. Scholarships are awarded based on academic performance, financial need, and participation in nursing school organizations and/or community health services.

11. The Geraldine “Polly” Bednash Lectureship Award
The AACN Board of Directors selects recipients of the Geraldine “Polly” Bednash Lectureship Award on the basis of their scholarship and the notability of their contributions to nursing, health care, higher education, and/or interprofessional education.
12. Health Resources & Services Administration Nurse Corps Scholarship Program
Participants in the Nurse Corps Scholarship Program can receive financial assistance for tuition, fees, other education costs, and a monthly living stipend. In exchange, they must fulfill a service commitment at an eligible health care facility with a critical shortage of nurses upon graduation.
13. Hispanic Scholarship Fund
The Hispanic Scholarship Fund awards more than $30 million in scholarships annually. Depending on available funds, HSF Scholars may also be eligible to receive a scholarship ranging from $500 to $5,000. Scholars are selected based on merit. Applicants must identify as being of Hispanic heritage and have a minimum GPA of 2.5 for undergraduate and graduate students or a 3.0 GPA for high school students.
14. Hurst Review – AACN Nursing Scholarship
Hurst Review and AACN offer this scholarship program to reward entry-level nursing students for outstanding academic performance. All applicants must already be enrolled in an AACN member institution and maintain at least a 3.2 grade point average in their current program or last school attended. One $2,500 scholarship is awarded twice annually. The application deadlines are September 1 and February 1.
15. March of Dimes® Nursing Scholarships
Every year, March of Dimes® awards two $10,000 scholarships to nursing students (one undergraduate and one graduate) who have shown a dedication to improving maternal and infant health.
16. National Association of Hispanic Nurses Scholarship Programs
Each year, the National Association of Hispanic Nurses (NAHN) offers various scholarships that are open to its members. The number of scholarships and associated criteria vary from year to year. Scholarship deadlines are typically in the spring (March-April).
17. American Indian Medical Scholarship
American Indian Medical Scholarship (AIMS) offers $1,500 per semester to students of American Indian, Alaska Native, or Native Hawaiian heritage who plan to work on reservations or in hospitals that serve Native communities.
18. National Black Nurses Association Scholarship Program
Various annual scholarships starting at $1,000 are presented to National Black Nurses Association (NBNA) members enrolled in a nursing program who have at least one full year of school remaining.
19. Nurses Educational Funds, Inc. Scholarship
The Nurses Educational Funds, Inc. (NEF) awards scholarships and grants for nurses who already have an RN license/registration but are looking for funding to complete graduate studies. Applicants must be members of a national professional nursing association.
20. Nurse Practitioner Healthcare Foundation Scholarships
The Nurse Practitioner Healthcare Foundation (NPHF) offers several scholarships for nurse practitioner graduate students based on efforts such as community service and for specific nursing study focuses.
21. Oncology Nursing Foundation Scholarships
The Oncology Nursing Foundation (ONF™) offers scholarships for nursing students focused on oncology. Scholarships are available for those pursuing bachelor's degrees, master’s degrees, and doctoral degrees in nursing.
22. Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates Scholarships
The Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates (SGNA™) offers several scholarships for registered nurses working in gastroenterology who wish to pursue a degree.
23. NADONA Memorial Scholarships
The National Association of Directors of Nursing Administration in Long-Term Care (NADONA) offers memorial scholarships to undergraduate or graduate nursing students in an accredited nursing program who plan to practice in long-term care or assisted living after graduation. Scholarship award values vary.
24. Tillman Scholar Application
Active and veteran service members and their spouses are eligible for scholarships from the Tillman Scholar program, funded by the Pat Tillman Foundation. Awards average around $10,000 each and can be used to cover tuition, fees, housing, and child care.
25. TYLENOL® Future Care Scholarship Program
Every year, the makers of TYLENOL® award more than $200,000 in scholarship funds to 35 undergraduate and graduate students pursuing health care education.
