Dr. Tina Eslinger-Vaughn joined Purdue Global (formerly Kaplan University) in 2007 as an adjunct instructor in the RN-BSN online program. At that time, Dr. Vaughn specialized teaching courses such as Community health, Leadership in Nursing and the Capstone courses. In April of 2014, Dr. Vaughn accepted a full-time teaching position in Purdue Global’s online MSN program, where her responsibilities include teaching specialty courses in the Nurse Educator track, serving as a course lead, as well as serving on multiple university committees.
Prior to joining Purdue Global, Dr. Vaughn has worked in a diversity of clinical settings with over 29 years in emergency care services as a staff nurse, charge nurse, and clinical supervisor. Dr. Vaughn has also worked in the perioperative services of her community hospital and as an occupational health nurse. Dr. Vaughn has also served as a clinical instructor for Shasta Community Colleges Associate Degree of Nursing program for nine years prior to accepting her full time Purdue Global position.
Dr. Vaughn is a co-founder of Shasta County Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) program and is certified as an Online Instructor, a Medical/Surgical Nurse, and a Public Health Nurse. Dr. Vaughn is actively involved in mentoring nurses throughout her community who have chosen to seek out higher education.
Dr. Vaughn is licensed as a registered nurse in the states of California, Iowa, Illinois and Missouri. She holds a Doctorate of Nursing Practice from Walden University, received her Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization in nursing education from Walden University and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from National University.
