Dr. Michele Pedulla joined Purdue Global (formerly Kaplan University) in 2012, and is currently the assistant chair of graduate programs at Purdue Global, School of Nursing. Her responsibilities include working on day to day activities, including scheduling of faculty and courses, addressing faculty and student issues with other departments, and course lead management in order to allow the Chair to focus on future projects.
Dr. Pedulla has experience in acute and primary care, and stays active in practice. As a faculty member, Dr. Pedulla recognized an additional passion in education, working from adjunct to full time as an integral member of the graduate faculty team. Her current position aligns closely with her passion of educating and empowering nurses on a more global level. Dr. Pedulla has participated as the pediatric expert in a recent national education project and has published in journals on topics related to nurse practitioner role definition and education.
Dr. Pedulla is a Fellow member of the National Association for Pediatric Nurse Practitioners (NAPNAP), American Nurses Association (ANA), and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, currently the Secretary for Phi Rho Chapter. She is licensed to practice as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and is nationally certified through the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board (PNCB). Dr. Pedulla holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Florida, received a Master of Nursing from the University of Central Florida as well as a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida.
