Lynne Williams, PhD
Dr. Lynne Williams’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts, Master of Science in Information Technology, and PhD in Information Technology Management and Security. Lynne currently lives in Los Alamos, New Mexico. Her research interests include network security, cybercrime, informational ethics, and online privacy. She is a member of IEEE, ACM, ASIS&T, American Women in Science, and Mensa. She is a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer and holds a number of other professional IT certifications.
Dr. Williams is currently acting as co-PI and technical advisor on a mental health initiative and grant that will provide SMART apartments to outpatients in the Ontario, Canada, area. She likes to build all of her own computers from scratch; she finds it relaxing. She learned to read when she was 3 years old; the first book she ever read was Robert Louis Stevenson’s Treasure Island. She is a word in a book written entirely on skin. She currently teaches the following graduate courses in the School of Business and Information Technology: Principles of Information Technology, Computer Networks, and Advanced Computer Networks (and anything else associated with networking or how people interact with networks).
