Nancy Szwydek is the assistant dean and director of quality assurance for the ground health programs. She serves as the liaison between the Purdue Global (formerly Kaplan University) online and ground campuses and is responsible for monitoring accreditation metrics, gathering reports for programmatic accreditation, and training campus faculty and chairs. Additionally, she is the academic program chair for the Master of Health Informatics, Master of Health Information Management, Bachelor of Science in Health Information Management, and Medical Billing and Coding Certificate programs.
Previously, Mrs. Szwydek served as a faculty member and medical assisting program chair at the Hagerstown, Maryland campus for 11 years. She is a Registered Nurse and Registered Medical Assistant with over 30 years of experience in hospitals, ambulatory care facilities, and school health nursing.
Mrs. Szwydek holds a Master of Public Health degree, a Bachelor of Science in Health Science and an Associate of Applied Science in Medical Office Management—all from Kaplan University (now Purdue Global) and a Diploma in Nursing from Maryland General Hospital School of Nursing. She also has earned the Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) and Certified Rhythm Analysis Technician (CRAT) credentials.
