Stuart Collins joined Purdue Global (formerly Kaplan University) in 2008. Recently promoted to course lead within the Department of General Education's Humanities and Social Sciences Department, he overseas SS236: An Introduction to American Government.
Professor Collins earned his master's degree in history from Villanova University, and his historical scholarship focuses on trans-national imperialism, nationalism, identity, feminism and modernity. He has also completed a master’s degree in education and a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Florida. In addition, he has a reasonable understanding of classical Latin and Arabic and he has taught a wide variety of history and humanities courses.
