Sheryl Bone is a faculty member in the Composition Department at Purdue Global (formerly Kaplan University). Her research interests include adult literacy, developmental reading and writing, and online teaching strategies. She has a special interest in providing students with a human component in the online classroom and developing open communication in the online classroom.
Sheryl serves as leader of the Great Lakes Region of the College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA). Additionally, she serves as co-leader of the Learning Disabilities Special Interest Group for CRLA. She is an active member of professional organizations related to adult literacy, writing rhetoric, and distance education.
