Leslie Johnson is one of two assistant department chairs of mathematics. Leslie supports faculty by maintaining the department website, organizing department meetings, developing department training, visiting courses and providing feedback, assisting with curriculum projects, and much, much more. With over 10 years of experience in teaching mathematics in face-to-face, blended, web-based, and online settings, Leslie found her start at Purdue Global (formerly Kaplan University) in the winter of 2008 as an adjunct faculty member and became assistant department chair in the fall of 2011. She earned a Master of Natural Science in Mathematics with an emphasis in college education at Southeast Missouri State University in 2004. Leslie enjoys learning about new technologies that can be incorporated into the classroom or that can be used in the department to help support faculty.
