Misty LaCour, PhD
Dr. Misty LaCour has 17 years of experience in education. She is currently a full-time faculty member in the School of Education at Purdue University Global. Prior to teaching at the University, she held various leadership and faculty positions at three other universities. She began her career in education as an elementary and middle school classroom teacher. Currently, she substitute teaches in grades K-6.
Dr. LaCour holds a bachelor’s in elementary education, a master’s in curriculum and instruction—reading, and an education doctorate in teaching and learning from Liberty University. Her primary research area focuses on literacy development, reading intervention strategies, and best practices to meet the needs of at-risk students in the P-12 classroom.
