Jimmie Flores, PhD

Dr. Jimmie Flores is a seasoned organizational development and project management professional with more than 20 years of business experience. Dr. Flores has more than 15 years of experience as a project manager. He has trained employees from the following companies: RackSpace Hosting, General Dynamics, City of San Antonio, and Sirius Computer Solutions.

Dr. Flores, who has earned two doctorate and seven master’s degrees, began his professional career as a revenue accountant for Shell Oil Company. He then worked as a Prudential Insurance agent before moving into marketing for the Adult Learning Center for the University of St. Thomas in Houston, Texas. Dr. Flores moved back to San Antonio and assumed the position of IT budget coordinator for United Services Automobile Association (USAA). For over 20 years, Dr. Flores has taught as a college professor for various universities, both face-to-face and online.

Today, he is a full-time faculty member at Purdue Global (formerly Kaplan University). In 2000, Dr. Flores launched an information technology (IT) company specializing in customized web-based platforms.

“Dr. Flores is skilled at helping individuals and organizations increase revenue, minimize costs, and elevate performance levels and productivity. Dr. Flores has extensive experience helping working professionals learn the techniques to earn certifications offered by the Project Management Institute (PMI), such as the Project Management Professional (PMP).

Dr. Flores has earned the following professional certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP), Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), Global Professional in Human Resources (GPHR), Six Sigma Black Belt (SSBB), and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL). He has provided corporate training; written books; and created audio program and videos in the areas of project management, Six Sigma, entrepreneurship, management, and time management. Dr. Flores has been approved by PMI to sit for the Program Management Professional (PgMP), a certification held by fewer than 1,000 people worldwide.

Dr. Flores has also officiated men’s collegiate basketball for the past 20 years. He has written several books on officiating, and has presented his research findings at the NCAA 2010 Final Four in Indianapolis.”
