Purdue University Global’s College of Social and Behavioral Sciences offers a variety of programs that help develop professionals, leaders, and change agents in fields that make a positive difference in our community. The programs are designed for people with a passion for driving change and a desire to make a difference in the lives of children, individuals with special needs, and their communities.
The College’s program offerings support professions in behavioral sciences and communications, as well as professions that help provide invaluable service and support to special needs communities.
Social and Behavioral Sciences Programs
Purdue Global’s College of Social and Behavioral Sciences offers 42 programs. The College’s degree offerings include a variety of graduate, undergraduate, and certificate programs in the areas of psychology, human services, early childhood administration, public safety, criminal justice, legal studies, and public administration. The College also offers undergraduate degree programs in communications and liberal studies and graduate degree programs in education.

In the 2017–2018 academic year, the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences conferred more than 3,800 degrees and certificates in the disciplines of arts and sciences (1,942), legal studies (520), public safety (1,167), and education (172).
Programmatic Accreditation and Approvals
Purdue Global’s College of Social and Behavioral Sciences has received numerous programmatic accreditations for its academic programs. These include programmatic accreditations that were secured or reaffirmed in recent years.
The Association for Behavior Analysis International (ABAI) has verified the course sequence of the Bachelor of Science in Psychology in Applied Behavior Analysis and the Applied Behavior Analysis Postbaccalaureate Certificate as meeting the coursework requirements for eligibility to take the Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst® Examination.
The ABAI has also verified the course sequence of the Master of Science in Psychology’s applied behavior analysis concentration and the Postgraduate Certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis as meeting the coursework requirements for eligibility to take the Board Certified Behavior Analyst® Examination.
The Bachelor of Science in Psychology in Addictions, the Master of Science in Psychology with a concentration in addictions, and the online Graduate Certificate in Addictions programs earned accreditation by the National Addiction Studies Accreditation Commission (NASAC).
The Associate of Applied Science in Fire Science, the Bachelor of Science in Fire Science, and the Bachelor of Science in Fire and Emergency Management earned accreditation from the International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC).
Purdue Global is recognized by the U.S. Fire Administration as an official Fire and Emergency Services Higher Education institution.
